Au cours de son histoire, le RIPESS s’est développé sur tous les continents et a par ailleurs noué des relations avec de nombreuses institutions internationales et organisations de la société civile.

En outre, dans le cadre de ses activités de promotion de l’ESS vis à vis d’organismes institutionnels internationaux, le RIPESS dispose d’une accréditation auprès de l’UNCTAD depuis septembre 2014, et du statut consultatif auprès du Conseil Economique et Social (ECOSOC) depuis juillet 2016.
