ASEC – Asian Social Solidarity Economy, the Asian SSE Council participated in most of the activities of this workshop held in Bangkok on 18-19 June. Organised by the International Labour Organisation with the support of the ILO Cooperatives Unit, these two days aimed at reflecting, promoting, sharing and collectively building local roots to face the challenges in the region.

SSE entities create quality jobs, contribute to the inclusion of disadvantaged groups, driving inclusive and sustainable development across Asia and the Pacific. They respond to transformations in the world of work, in and through their principles and values, such as inclusion, diversity, equality, Ecology and Participatory Governance.

ASEC will contribute key findings that shed light on the landscape of the social and solidarity economy, its contributions to decent work and sustainable development, challenges and opportunities, as well as policy recommendations.
