Ripess Europe & Ripess Intercontinental
The Global Social Solidarity Economy Forum (GSEF) 2023 is a key international gathering for all stakeholders of the Social Solidarity Economy, which aims to share practices and visions that will help build a more inclusive and egalitarian world through sustainable economic development. This 6th edition will take place in Dakar, Senegal from 1 to 6 May 2023, with the theme “Transition from informal economies to collective and sustainable economies for our territories”. It will bring together elected officials and leaders from around the world, international experts, representatives of development agencies and actors involved in the SSE to propose concrete actions for tomorrow.
#DakarGSEF2023 is a first in Africa, co-organised by the City of Dakar, the RACTES (Network of Actors and Territorial Collectivities for the Social and Solidarity Economy of Senegal), the GSEF (Global Forum for the Social and Solidarity Economy), in partnership with the Ministry of Microfinance and the Social and Solidarity Economy of Senegal.
For one week, several thousand people from all continents will mobilise around an ambitious three-day programme of exchanges and political dialogue preceded by two pre-forums on women and youth in which Ripess will play a major role by co-organising several activities and with a wide representation from several continents.
#DakarGSEF2023 will conclude with the adoption of a final political declaration and roadmap, as well as the general assembly of RAESS (the African Social Solidarity Economy Network), a continental member of Ripess Intercontinental.
