This webinar is an official side event in the framework of the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, the UN platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a global level.

The theme for the 2022 HLPF is “Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID- 19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.

Our contribution is entitled “Building back better and promoting sustainable development via Social and Solidarity Economy ”. Together with a panel of distinguished participants from around the world, this exchange aims to contribute to awareness of the SSE as an important part of the response to building back better. Our experience, policy-building and advocacy have clearly demonstrated that SSE is an essential element to changing the current economic paradigm, and the most reliable, realistic and trustworthy alternative to overcoming the current crisis.
